Automatic recognition of hole features
Although there has been development for recognizing hole features in solid models, most work in this area has focused on developing techniques that hang onto other third party solids libraries.

We at OneCNC believe a complete solution requires that the software needs to have direct access to the solids core and not a third party addition. OneCNC has accomplished that. OneCNC has a function to automatically find the rotational plane of an angled hole in a model. This unique ability can find the plane of holes even in surface models because of the hybrid ability of the product.

Multi axis machining is also no problem because OneCNC will recognize holes on any selected or set plane.

Never-seen-before functionality
OneCNC has pursued excellence in this development to provide never-seen-before utilization of this fully integrated approach. The development of this has allowed the feature to be recognized as a part of the model surfaces or just pure geometry on all planes. Solids is the way to go
OneCNC has developed this technology to such an extent that it is included now in all versions of milling CAD-CAM from the 2 1/2 D OneCNC Express version through to the OneCNC Mill Expert Version. OneCNC believes that solids technology should be used in all versions as we believe that 2 1/2 D can equally benefit from feature recognition technology as the high level OneCNC Mill Expert software.
